Aluminium roof lanterns offer maximum structural strength, allowing for thinner frames and more glass, resulting in a sleek, modern look. uPVC roof lanterns provide excellent thermal efficiency and durability at a more cost-effective price point.
In most cases, installing a roof lantern falls under Permitted Development rights and does not require planning permission, provided it does not protrude more than 150mm above the existing roof plane and is no higher than the highest part of the roof. Always check with your local authority to be sure.
Because our roof lanterns are pre-manufactured in our Doncaster factory and arrive in a purpose-engineered kit form, a standard installation can typically be completed by our professional team within a single day.
